Selon Statistique Canada (2013), près de 13 millions de Canadiennes et Canadien âgés ont fait du bénévolat, c’est un taux de 44 %. Ces personnes ont contribué, au cours de l’année 2013, pour 1,96 milliards d’heures et ces heures représenteraient 1 million d’emplois à temps plein !
