Deux-Montagnes and Mirabel Sud community collective

This group is responsible for the promotion and defense of the interests of community organizations in the MRC Deux-Montagnes and south of Mirabel as well as the clienteles served. It is the bridge between community organizations and the ROCL (Group of community organizations in the Laurentians). It encourages sharing and collaboration between organizations. In October of each year, the group holds a special activity during the visibility week of community organizations.

Elder abuse prevention committee of the Deux-Montagnes and Sud de Mirabel RCMs

Composed of representatives of organizations, establishments and police forces, this committee aims to raise public awareness of the problems of abuse and mistreatment by disseminating information, developing partnerships and organizing activities or events. . In addition, the development of a prevention and intervention protocol to counter mistreatment is at the heart of the discussions and procedures. 

Coop Aide chez soi

Created in 1998, the Cooperative offers housekeeping services to the entire population, but particularly to seniors and people with loss of autonomy. Its objective is to establish a partnership with the community for the provision of domestic help services. The two volunteer action centers covering the territory of the Cooperative are represented on the board of directors. www.aidechezsoi.com

Quebec Federation of Volunteer Action Centers (FCABQ)

Established in 1972, the Federation is a non-profit organization that brings together 110 centers in all regions of Quebec. She sponsors Volunteer Week. In addition to providing its members with a documentation center and organizing an annual conference, it sees to the interests of volunteer centers and is involved in the development of government policies. www.fcabq.org

Family policy of the city of Saint-Eustache (senior-friendly municipality approach)

Since 2004, the City of Saint-Eustache has adopted a family policy that has improved over the years. The municipality has brought together various partners for the development, application and integration of a specific component into the municipality's age-friendly approach. We represented the senior clientele and influenced the steps and actions to be taken. www.saint-eustache.ca

Seniors Roundtable

Established in 1989, this consultation body brings together health and social services establishments, community organizations and representatives of municipalities. The meetings facilitate the flow of information, identify areas of involvement in issues concerning seniors and establish an annual action plan. 

Association of Community Organizations of the Laurentians (ROCL)

This group defends the rights and interests of more than 150 community member organizations in the Laurentians. The ROCL aims for a society of justice, equity, solidarity and democracy. He is involved in the development of government policies. It provides support to organizations by offering them more than a dozen training sessions each year in addition to publishing an information journal on a regular basis. www.roclaurentides.com

Group of meals on wheels and other voluntary food services (PRASAB)

This group brings together voluntary organizations offering meals or food to people with loss of autonomy. It promotes the exchange of information with the publication of a newsletter on a regular basis. He educates the community and represents the members to various government authorities. It organizes an annual congress. www.popotes.org

Association of Laurentian Volunteer Action Centers (RCABL)

It brings together the seven volunteer action centers in the Laurentians. The directors meet regularly to discuss issues, issues, visions and mobilization. The group has delegated a representative to the FCABQ board of directors and to the ROCL board of directors.

Community and compensatory work

We work closely with the Laval Volunteer Center and the Ministry of Justice regarding community or compensatory work. We supervise the hours and work done by offenders.
